"How many pages will I need?"

It depends.

  • 4 pages tends to fit the requirements for companies who just need a bit of information online.
  • 10 is best for those who need more room to show off their products or services.
  • 20 are for the larger businesses who want to make sure their visitors have everything they need to turn in to a sale.
“I don’t need certain features in these plans.” or “I need extra features.”

We’ve tried our best to make sure that our plans are value-packed and cater to the needs of the majority of businesses. If you’re one of few exceptions where a package doesn’t fit you well, no problem.

“What can't my Website Concierge do?”

Our Concierge team is ready and waiting to take your change requests and make them happen, with a few small exceptions. There are a few things that your Concierge is unable to do on your behalf. Mostly, those are the types of things that make your website original to you.

For example, your Concierge can’t come and take original photographs, write articles for blogs, or engage directly with your fanbase on social media accounts, though they are eerily efficient with the finished material you provide to them.

If you’re not sure if a request is doable for your Concierge, just ask them and they’ll be happy to speak with you about it.

“What is SEO and how will this help get me more leads?”

SEO, or Search Engine Optimisation, is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s “natural” or un-paid (“organic”) search results. How we do this is by listening to Google and building our sites to be as friendly as possible to the robots that decide how important our client’s sites are. There are a lot of factors that go into SEO (just as Natalie, our SEO Strategist) but getting the basics right at the website development phase goes a long way to ensure your website will get as high up on search results as possible.

“Do I own my website, or is it a lease?”

Great question! A lot of people don’t realize that many web design companies lease their designs out to their clients and keep the copyrights. We don’t believe in that. Whatever we make for you is yours to keep once it’s been paid for – pretty simple!

“How do you accept payments for maintenance fees?”

To keep our costs low (and pass those savings on to you) we are able to accept credit cards for automatic monthly billing.

If you’d like to pay annually, we can offer a 15% discount on the full year of whichever package you choose as well as the option to pay by cheque, bank transfer, or credit card.

“What if I already have a host I want to use for my upgraded website?"

We encourage our clients to subscribe to our monthly maintenance packages for several reasons, the most important being the speed of the servers we have access to. With many “shared host” options like Dreamhost, or Godaddy, or Hostgator, the speeds they can promise their customers are extremely low, which means your website visitors have a greater chance of getting frustrated with your page load times and leaving.

Also, we find that our clients who choose to go with a separate hosting service and have technical difficulties end up spending more time and money fixing the problem by needing to hire us at our hourly rate than they would if they went with our monthly maintenance package.

“What happens if I need to switch hosts or change my domain name?”

No problem. Just give us a heads up and we’ll work with you to get your hosting and/or domain name to wherever you’d like. Please keep in mind that with Canadian domain names (.ca) there can be a greater delay with transferring ownership, so make sure to give us ample time to make those changes for you.
